Should I start a website? The answer is YES!
If you’ve started a webpage and you're looking to get more organized than keep reading because were about to get to the nitty gritty.
Websites can grow and evolve as you and your business begin to grow but no matter how much you grow it is best to keep the clutter to a minimum. Too many adds, to much scrolling to see what they want, too many pop ups, excessive amounts of content all over every page can all make for confusion and distraction. When you started your business you decided you wanted to do “something” and that something will be what is displayed on your webpage. If you have a TON of stuff floating all around your website your followers might not be able to tell what your message is.
Ok- so what are the absolute MUST haves for a website?
This number varies a teeny tiny bit but the magical number is close to 5

--About Section-- --Blog/Vlogs/Podcasts-- --Products/Offers/Freebies-- --Contact Me Page/Newsletter--
There are times where I personally feel you can split number 4 into two pages, one for freebies and one for paid products, but be careful with where you direct people.
You need to think of how you want to be viewed when someone new comes to your page
Waalaa, super simple, you don’t need anything super bogged down with things here and there and content everywhere. If you are running an online business you want your audience to be able to get a peek at what you do, learn a few things, and opt-in to one of your freebies.

P.S. In the comments below let me know what questions you have about starting a website!

“How do you create so much content so quickly?”
“How do you just KNOW what to post?” “How can you write 2-3-4 blogs in under an hour?” “How do you type enough content for the whole month so quickly?”
These are all questions i’ve gotten from my clients. Don’t worry, everyone wonders this at least once or twice during the start up, take off, or growth of their business. If you google “how to create content” you will become LOST and confused with all the fancy spreadsheets, convoluted breakdowns, LISTS of things to help you come up with topics… I know I sure was when I first started out.
I spent hours online trying to come up with content. I looked through pinterest for tips like I was being paid to do so. I checked out all sorts of blogs, forums, highly sought after mentors, and somehow creating bunches of content was this mystical unicorn that so many talked about but no one REALLY explained.
So I NEED to break it down for it
First and foremost you need to ask yourself what you want to accomplish when you share your content.
Do you want to meet your sales goals?
Do you want more reviews? Do you want leads? Do you want to attract your perfect client? Are you show casing your knowledge? Do you want to find new customers?
This is just a short list of questions to ask yourself, by all means decide what your purpose is and we can work towards it. Think about how you want your content to help your business then well break it down into more specific goals.
Topics You Want To Cover
Take a look at the goals you decided to go for a few seconds ago and think about what you will need to cover in order to achieve those goals.
For example: I am always looking to reach new mommas who are wanting to leave their 9-5’s and stay home with their kiddos, stay at home moms who are looking to start an online business, moms who have sorta started a business. In common all three of those moms can’t seem the find the time to run it with all the mom life going on. I things for time management, organization, planning, content creation and growth. What I did was pick 5 topics I know inside and out and I break them down into large topics and tailor them to what my goal is. If I want to sell a product I may share a Facebook post about starting, growing, making money, fool proof plans to do it. I might share my link to my paid product, I might redirect them to a free opt-in that leads to a paid product, I may ask who is interested and then send them a message directly.
How Often To Share
Unless you just enjoy being online at all hours of the day and night I suggest you learn what times your audience is online and looking to learn. You might have to experiment a little at first to find out when you get the most engagement and what types of post get the most engagement (post no picture, post with picture, video, gif, blog, etc).
One thing to keep in the back of your mind is that consistency ALWAYS beats frequency. What I mean is that if you are showing up every day and sharing with your audience you are making more of an impact than if you showed up for a week posting 4-5 times a day and then go AWOL for a month.
Content Delivery
This is where you will decide how best to share your amazeballs content. If you tend to get long winded with tons of great info you might think about blogging, videos, or even podcasts. If you share quick tips, inspirational quotes, bits of your long content than you may think about just making a quick social media post.
Is What Im Sharing Helping
This part is where SOOOOOO many people drop the ball. You need to TRACK, in some way, how your content is performing. This helps you decide if you need to tweak something, eliminate something, share more on something, etc. Take a look at your goals and figure out if you're on track to meeting them.
You might look at your page views, comments, likes, shares, the stats on your blog site, etc. However you do it make sure you are doing it EVERY WEEK! A month or so into tracking you’ll start to see patterns of what is performing well and what isn’t and you can tweak your plan from there.
After I spent a ton of time looking through HUNDREDS of others of content creation calendars that were so “intricate” well say I decided all the hubaloo needed to go and it need to be made simple.
I put together a Free Content Calendar for you.
It has a Content Creation Page, a Content Calendar, and a Social Media Shares Calendar. Download Your Calendar HereYou are about to be AMAZED how much easier your business will be once your content is planned out. Success! Now check your email to confirm your subscription.
This doesn't need to be hard, it just takes some time to master.
I want to help you master it in 1/4 of the time it took me to do so!
Until Next Time,
xoxo Lauren
Social media is the way of life now. Everyone who is everyone is on some platform to see this or that. For an online mompreneur it is a source of income, a way of life, a go-to/must-do.
The thing about social media is that too often there are fools out there who have no idea how to use it properly. YES you heard me right, I said fools and in the instant you read that someone popped into your mind I guarantee it. Social media can help you get the job you want, lets you chat with your friends, lets your family keep up with your life happenings, helps you stay caught up on the latest news, most importantly its a great way to promote your business, and so much more. This week I want to cover how you in particular are using your social media. The best thing a mompreneur can do is to help others in anyway they can in order to create their ideal clientele.
Take a quick look at your feed(s) this past week and ask yourself:
Does this post help someone?
Is this post for you or does it serve others? What is the point of the post? Is it asking for feedback? If you were a new person looking at your posts what would you think about you? Are the posts authentically you?
Now be honest, as a mompreneur, are there areas of your social media that could be improved?
It is absolutely alright to post controversial things now and then but if the majority of your audience isn’t interested in 90% of what you share you may struggle to see growth in your business.
People want to be able to connect with you, they want to be able to relate to you, they want to be able to learn from you. Moving forward- in order to grow your business, reach your income goals, snag those perfect clients, take a look at what you're sharing and ask yourself if there are areas that need to be improved.

P.S. If you KNOW someone who NEEDS to read this please share it with them!
Content, Content, Content, it’s what makes your business go round. BUT it can be such a drain on your life if you don’t know what you're doing.
I can remember a time where I would sit down to “work” but end up staring at my screen fooooooorrrrevvvvveeeer and nothing got done. I literally couldn’t come up with things to share to save my life. One time I created an opt-in for a freebie and on the thank you page I said “you’ll be hearing from me each week with tips and tricks to keep moving forward” …. except I went almost 5 months before reaching out to those people :O like waaaahhhhhat?
*insert drop head, hand on face, head shake*
To sit down and write stuff to share use to literally eat away at my soul. I had no idea what I wanted to share and had no idea how I was supposed to post on multiple social media platforms when I couldn’t even follow up with my e-mail list. What I realized was that I wasn’t “Planning” my content, I was just winging it.
BIG MISTAKE
When I realized that I needed to plan out my content I no longer wasted so much time staring at a blank screen! As i’m sure you're aware by now i’m a HUGE planner. Like I LOVE back to school season because planners go on sale! I love to make lists, use planners, create schedules, charts, etc. but crazy enough “planning content” never was an instant DUH for me.
So Why Is It So Important/What Are The Benefits of Planning Content?
------1-------
Planning your content ahead of time means you know what you're going to write about when you sit down to actually create the content. It allows you time to do some digging about whatever you're going to be sharing before you start typing. It means you never sit down at your computer or with your phone/tablet and just stare blankly. It means you can hit the ground running with your ideas at your finger tips.
------2-------
Even if you don’t think people are watching you THEY ARE! We live in a world of technology and someone is always looking at your page/group/blog/pinterest board/IG/Twitter, etc. You have no idea if tomorrow someone is going to wake up and decide to invest in whatever you sell. If you aren’t visible or you aren’t relevant with your content they may pass you by and choose someone else because they don’t know if you’ll be there for them consistently.
------3-------
You can’t be online ALL the time and on ALL platforms all the time. When you create content to share you can schedule times for your content to be shared. There are optimal posting times for different types of content on all social media platforms. Rather than being awake 24 hour a day just to share content you can auto schedule some of your content so that the right people see what you are sharing at the right times.
------4-------
Inspiration is ALWAYS with you. One of my biggest struggles when I first started out eons ago was that I wanted to share whatever I was feeling in the moment. This can be good because it shows how you are a human being and can be relatable. But the downside is that sometimes that “inspiration” doesn’t hit and you are left with nothing to say. When you plan your content you never have to worry about waiting for the inspiration because you will know what you are going to be sharing. When you do by chance have an inspirational moment at that content to your content planner-makes for good reads later!
------5-------
When you have content prepared you can sign off, check out, take a break, and not have to worry about being forgotten. If you are only posting when the mood strikes, when you are inspired, when you have the next big idea you will be chained to your phone/tablet/laptop all day and night. But when you plan your content out you can step away knowing that your voice will still be heard. This is the biggest thing for those who are still a one woman show. For me I still run every aspect of my business by myself, mostly because I'm neurotic and have a hard time letting others help, but sometimes I get burnt out and just need a break. Having content ready to go out means that I can step back without worrying if I’m still there for my clients.
